Grab three FREE Meal Planning Templates from my free downloads! These are the exact meal planning printables I use to write out meal ideas, plan menus, and schedule dinners.
When I first started meal planning, I couldn’t find any printables that worked for me. And if I’m honest, a lot of them are just plain ugly. That’s why I created my own!
These templates will help with your meal planning menus, meal planning ideas, and meal prep planner. They are sleek and modern – no kindergarten colors or comic sans font here!
How to use the templates
1. Meal Ideas Template
Use the meal ideas template to write down every breakfast, lunch, snack and drink you’d ever want to eat at home. (Okay, not everything but give yourself some options without going crazy!)
2. Menu Template
Using the list of meal ideas you just created, write down breakfast, lunch, snack and drink options on the weekly menu template. (Don’t forget to write in leftovers and eating out!)
3. Dinner Schedule Template
Using the menu you just created, schedule the days you’re going to eat each dinner. Pull out your calendar and see what obligations you have that week. Baseball double-header on Monday? That calls for a slow cooker meal. Moms Night Out on Friday? That sounds like leftovers for the hubby and kids.
Also look at your daytime activities, not just the ones in the late afternoon or evening. Don’t schedule a slow cooker meal that needs to begin at 1 p.m., if you aren’t going to be home to start it.
